Premium Anti-Spam Not Receiving Updates

Product: IMail
Version: IMail Plus & IMail Premium

Some IMail Plus and IMail Premium customers have had an issue where Premium Anti-Spam signature updates have been inconsistent or nonexistent. You may experience low spam catch rates while this problem exists. Most customers should now be receiving updates without any intervention. If not, there are several changes that can be made in your configuration that may improve update success. Follow the steps below to make the changes:

1) In the Imail top directory, locate the file 'configuration.xml' and open it with notepad.
2) Locate the 'UpdateEngine' section and change the 'TimeOut' and 'MaxAttempts' values to 90 and 20 respectively.
(The values should look like this when completed: timeOut="90" maxAttempts="20")
3) Save the file, close it, and then restart the Premium Antispam Service.

Some customers that have added the Premium Antispam update servers to their firewall whitelists may need to specify the new IP addresses. The IP list is below:

72.44.0.0/16
75.101.0.0/16
67.202.0.0/16
