Question/Problem: What type
of performance could I expect from IMail?
Answer/Solution:
The figures below are rounded numbers and are only figures observed in our
testing. We've indicated the machine types and speeds along with the
Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam checking.
These are laboratory conditions and are
not to be taken as exact performance expectations for every installation.
It only states that we have achieved these numbers in a lab environment.
Not all users had mail delivered to them in the tests but the tests were
designed to pick random users and random domains to deliver to so as to
spread the load out. Three messages were used of sizes 1Kb, 5Kb and 25Kb
respectively. They were sent in a round robin fashion. All messages were
scanned with Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam prior to delivery. The tests were
conducted over a 1 day period for each one.
