Question: How does one logon to an SMTP server?
Answer: Most mail clients support SMTP authentication. For example, in Outlook Express, if you go to the Server tab for the account you will see an Outgoing Mail section with an option, 'My SMTP Server requires me to login'. It will use the same username and password as POP3 does, so checking this checkbox is usually all that is required.
