IMail - America Online users cannot log on to Web Messaging |

Question/Problem: I cannot log on to IMail Web Messaging; instead, I am returned to the logon screen. I use America Online as my access provider. Answer/Solution: America Online sends network requests from constantly-changing IP addresses. Web Messaging's security will not permit an IP address different from the IP which initiated the login to read e-mail from the initial IP's session. Enable the "Ignore source address in security check" option in IMail Administrator | localhost | Web Messaging Server. In version 7.0 find services under IMail Administrator | localhost | Services. (In versions before 6.0 see Web Messaging Manager.) Then stop the Web Messaging service and restart it. |
